ABCD'S MISSION

ABCD builds pathways out of poverty in partnership with families and communities so that everyone can thrive.

 

A nonprofit human services organization, Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) each year impacts 100,000 residents with the tools and resources needed to transition from poverty to stability and from stability to success.

​

To fulfill this purpose, ABCD uses a comprehensive approach that systematically addresses the range of barriers faced by households in poverty, enabling people to avert crisis and realize longerm goals through education and job training.

THE FANTASY. MADE REAL. 

Imagine stepping onto the legendary field at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, to compete in an unforgettable experience—all while making a lasting impact in the community. ABCD’s Annual Field of Dreams is not just a game; it’s a powerful fundraising event that brings teams together for a day of friendly competition, networking, and philanthropy.

 

Since its inception, Field of Dreams has raised over $5 million  dollars to support ABCD’s youth programs, helping young people from underserved communities gain access to career pathways, paid internships, mentorship, and essential services that empower them to succeed.

 

By stepping up to the plate, sponsors aren’t just playing a game—they’re changing lives.

HOW IT WORKS. 

  • Teams can secure their spot for $20,000, assembling a roster of up to 22 players for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at Fenway Park. Each team enjoys the game-day experience, including complimentary Fenway Franks, professional photography, and video coverage.

  • Sponsorship dollars directly fund ABCD’s programs that provide Boston youth with career training, educational resources, and paid internships to build brighter futures.

  • A one-hour game and a full day of action: From batting practice to running the bases, teams experience all the excitement of a Major League game, with spectators, media, and an unlimited number of guests cheering them on. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the day at Fenway with complimentary activities such as Fenway Park tours, a photobooth, and face painting.

  • A high-profile opportunity: The event attracts top Boston businesses, community leaders, and philanthropic champions—providing a unique platform for corporate engagement and social impact.
